Hi update on my journeys: ok… take a seat before you start reading this! you will need it !!
- went to bed @10pm, actually fell asleep @1am, woke up @5 am
- Indy’s urinary infection was at her last night, with revenge and she was upset …
- my taxi came 20 minutes early to collect me, and charged me to the 5 minutes he waited for me to get ready.
- on the plane, i was surounded by 6 singing children, and could not sleep some more, but joined them in video games and chats…
- the wind was so strong during the flight, that the entire plane kept shaking… and the bottle i had in my bag opened up, wetting all my clothes, and laptop (which is now whizzing at me as i type and the screen is not behaving nornally and it also makes a loud peacing noise, although it is only 3 months old. . but it is still under guarantee, so i will get this sorted .). Of course other people’s clothes are also wet.. but we all laugh!
- suddenly the airhostess says we are 40 minutes away from landing, then she asks if there is a medical doctor in the plane as there was a man feeling very ill at the back of the plane…. finally one woman goes to check on the man, i guess she was a doctor, but had nothing with her, and she could not do anything to help the man. The man starts screaming in agony, and chocks and breathes so loudly that every body in the plane is terrified.. my seat was 3 rows away from the back of the plane where he was being immobilised by the flight attendants, as he was totally out of control in a matter of minutes. The situation was so desperate that the flight attendants started to run back to front in the plan …
- 5 minutes after being told we were 40 minutes away from landing, the pilot explains that due to the emergency, we will now land in 10 minutes.!!!!
- 2 minutes later we are told that we are 5 minutes away from landing, and the man screams louder and louder… the children and me are totally confused… asking me how comes we are now only 5 minutes away from landing, when only 5 minutes ago we still had 40 minutes flight…
– the children and i can see planes so close to us, we are so scared that we think we are going to crash into them, as we were now over one of the busiest international airports in the world… we can see the other planes through the window sharply wiring off course to let us through and gaining altitude again… the planes are so close.. and our plane is kind of gaining speed, and descends at the same time.
- we land: never landed so precisely, and quickly, no approach.. was like being on an army jet (which i suspect the pilot MUST have tried as in his life, despite his young age)
- We land 25 minutes earlies for a 50 minutes flight… but.. the ambulance needs another 15 minutes to arrive to the plane, and we all have to wait onboard for them to come, as only one door can be opened at the front…
- as i never had such a fright in my entire life in the plane: between being so afraid for that man’s life, the speed of the plane, the staff being so nervous, i thought we were all going to die, i swear it! i am still shaken by this.. but at the end of the day, the paramedics came, and looked after him, and we were aloud out of the cabin.
- i failed my both tests of the morning, as i had no time to apply for the extra time i was entitled to and i was still under huge shock and fatigue.. but… i still have 2 chances, and this time, i will do it in my own country, and no more flights!! lol and will make sure i get the extra time, as i am not a native speaker of English, so i am allowed 15 % extra time
- i love it here! everybody is so nice and friendly, going for interview for post grad in the morning! so as it will be another day, i hope tomorrow will be better !! !! xoxo
thank you everybody for you love and wishes !!
- i am off for a walk and visiting the uni, then food, then preparing for interview some more
Hugs and love, till tomorrow evening, if not later on
